The Ukrainian Bandura
A symbol of Ukrainian heritage and one of the most iconic plucked instruments of Eastern Europe. Rooted in the centuries-old kobzar tradition, the bandura blends harp-like resonance with a soulful, storytelling character.

Unlike smaller folk lyres, the bandura offers a richer tonal range — deep, mellow basses and bright, expressive trebles — making it ideal for both accompaniment and solo performance.

Its warm, lyrical sound captures the spirit of wandering kobzars and breathes life into songs of history, freedom, and the land they were born from.

We will make the same instrument as you see in the photo for you.
But it will have its own small differences and unique features since there are no two identical trees in the world.
Approximate manufacturing time will be from 4 to 10 weeks.

We use D2 G2 A2 D3 G3 A3 D4 E4 F4 G4 A4 B4 C5 D5 E5 F5 G5 A5 B5 C6 D6 tuning as standard
But upon request, we can tune another, but not higher.

Each Bandura body is made from a single piece of naturally fallen wood, carefully selected from windfallen trees. We use red willow — a wood that has been favored for generations — and proudly continue this tradition.
For the top of the instrument, we use the highest quality resonant spruce, which is the key to the high-quality and deep sounding of all musical instruments.
We tune the peg system so that for tuning process the instrument be is simple and intuitive. We also do our best to keep the correct tuning of the instrument as long as possible.
We install metal strings, they give a wonderful soft and warm sound to the instrument and are very easy to use.
