Jouhikko is a traditional Finland and Karelia instrument.
Unlike tagelharpa, it sounds a little louder, due to the increased body.
Also, this instrument is a little easier to learn, due to fewer quantity playing strings.
This is a bowed lyre, which has its own deep timbre of sounding and is suitable for solo playing or for playing in a group.
Its overtone-rich sound is great for creating a Nordic atmosphere of ancient skalds and entering trance states.
